Shop — Player Guide
Overview
Your server may run a game economy: money to earn, items to buy, bets to place, players to rob. Everything happens through a few slash commands, and everything you do is private to you unless the moderators run a public activity feed.
During a game: the shop is only open to living players in the game, and only from the chat server. No game running? Everyone can shop.
The two commands you'll use most
/shop
Opens the store in a private message only you can see. Pick an item from the menu to see its details — price, stock, what it does — and buy with a tap. Quantity buttons let you buy in bulk. If your server has several shops, you'll get a picker first.
What you see is what you can access: items and shops can be hidden from players who don't meet their conditions. Don't assume the shop you see is the whole economy — there may be a black market you can't see... yet.
/bag
Your wallet and inventory: every currency you hold and every item you own. Zero balances aren't shown — if you've never seen a currency, you won't learn it exists from /bag. Lootboxes in your bag can be opened from here.
Buying, selling, lootboxes
- Buying re-checks price, stock, and your balance at the moment you tap — a stale embed can't overcharge you or oversell stock.
- Selling: some items have a sell-back price; the sell buttons appear on the item's detail view when they do.
- Lootboxes are mystery items: buying or opening one rolls against hidden weights and hands you the prize with a reveal. What's inside stays secret until you open it.
- Some items are limited per player, sold only during certain time windows, or sold out — the shop tells you.
- Some items are perishable: the item view shows when they expire. Past that moment they vanish from every bag, effects and all — use them or lose them.
Trading with other players
If your moderators have enabled trading:
/trade player: @Alice give_item: Rope give_qty: 2 want_currency: Gold want_amount: 10
Offer items, currency, or both — in either direction (asking without giving is begging, which is allowed). The offer posts publicly with Accept/Decline buttons; only the target can accept, only you can cancel. The swap is atomic: both sides are verified at the moment of acceptance, so nobody can trade away goods they no longer have. Offers expire after 20 minutes — the embed shows a countdown, and a stale offer can't be accepted.
Some currencies (like Debt) can never be traded. And no, you can't trade with yourself.
Earning money
Depending on what your moderators have switched on:
- Chatting — an activity reward may pay you for messages in certain channels. The bot reacts with the currency's emoji when you earn, or ❌ if you're still on cooldown.
- /work — earn a wage on a cooldown.
- Waiting — a time-based income may pay you automatically at intervals.
- /steal — rob another player, if theft is enabled. Success takes some of their money; getting caught costs you a penalty. Whether your victim learns who robbed them is up to your moderators. Choose wisely.
- Certain items quietly improve your odds: better wages, better heists, lighter penalties. Check item descriptions.
Betting and auctions
- Betting events: when a moderator posts an event (a horse race, a duel...), tap an outcome and pick a stake. One bet per player — betting again replaces your old bet and refunds the difference first, so you can change your mind until betting locks. Winners are paid automatically: your stake back plus profit at the posted odds.
- Auctions: tap Bid to take the current price. Your money is held while you're the high bidder and refunded instantly if someone outbids you. Watch out near the deadline — late bids can extend it. Some auctions offer a Buy now price — pay it and the auction ends on the spot. And some sell a player's own goods on consignment: the seller gets the winning bid, and while the auction runs the item is out of their hands entirely.
Good luck out there. 🪙
